Celebrating Truck Drivers with National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2022
We all know we need truck drivers to deliver essential items to our homes, communities, and businesses. But did you know they drive more than 421 billion miles, deliver nearly 70 percent of total U.S. freight, and that more than 3.6 million professional truck drivers are among the safest drivers on the road?
We need these truck drivers to keep America moving forward and that’s why we take National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) as a time to show them the appreciation they deserve every day.
Last week The W.W. Williams Company celebrated NTDAW in our local branches with signs of appreciation, a video, thank you cards, food and beverages, giveaway items, and useful swag for the road.
“We loaded our service counter with cookies and swag,” said Las Vegas Branch Manager Diana Holman. “We offered coolers full of additional gift items and popcorn for the truck and fleet drivers.”
In Columbia, truck drivers were honored with a schedule of events for the entire week. “We had drivers join us daily at lunch and had some giveaways to hand out”, shared Branch Manager Mike Prichard. “We even made a spinning prize wheel and the driver got raffle tickets to enter to win prizes."
At W.W. Williams we recognize the hard work and sacrifices professional truck drivers make to deliver our nation’s goods whether it’s a small haul or across the county, and we honor them not only during NTDAW, but also every other day of the year.
